One of our favourite stories from The Rainbow Room is the party Biba threw for Liberace's arrival in London. With already fabulous decor, they added even more to welcome a restaurant full of invite-only people... and then in walked Andrew Logan & Zhandra Rhodes dressed to impress, who'd came to gate-crash! And so they did!!

Barbara had always dreamt of wearing brown lipsticks & natural shades, one's that shied away from the coral, bright pink and scarlet. Colours of lipsticks at Biba were now blues, purples, greens and black with matching eyeshadows and contour powder for the cheeks!! -
"The 3,000 foot store room was filled with old stock, rolls and rolls of old prints from the 1920’s and 1930’s.... so we used to buy the fabrics for nothing every time we were cutting new lots of dresses for Biba. The prints were amazing... Once you start you can’t stop!” - conversations about fabrics in 2019 with Barbara Hulanicki!
